Job Summary:

Ansys is seeking a talented R&D Engineer to contribute to the development of backend components and web frontends in the area of Mechanical simulation software. As a key member of our team, you will participate in the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of next-generation applications for the management and calibration of material models.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain software modules and sub-systems
  • Perform moderately complex development activities, including bug verification, release testing, and beta support
  • Research and develop solutions for problems discovered by QA or product support
  • Work under the general supervision of a development manager

Requirements:

  • MS in Engineering, Computer Science, or Natural Science
  • Academic, research, or industry experience in software development
  • Good knowledge and experience programming with Python, familiarity with C++
  • Experience in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), or CAD modeling

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of graphical user interfaces and visualization
  • Experience developing web applications with frameworks such as Angular or React
  • Familiarity with cloud/distributed computing technologies like micro-service architectures, RPC frameworks, and APIs
