Spotahome is an international online marketplace offering verified rental accommodations across 100 European cities in 27 countries. Founded in 2014 by four friends, the company aims to revolutionise the traditional real estate space through digitalisation.


We make renting easy by allowing users to book properties entirely online, ensuring accuracy and authenticity of listed properties. Our team sends home checkers to create videos, floor plans, and photos for over 100,000 properties across Europe.

Job Description

  • Month-end closing activities: Participate in the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Maintenance of financial records: Accurately record and maintain financial data, adhering to accounting policies and ensuring integrity.
  • Preparation of journal entries: Prepare general ledger journal entries for revenues, accounts receivable, bank movements, refunds, prepayments, and other transactions.
  • Account reconciliation: Reconcile all accounts under your responsibility to ensure financial data accurately reflects the company's financial position.
  • Bank reconciliations and cash management: Perform bank reconciliations and other banking and cash management tasks.
  • Compilation of reports: Compile accurate reports for management and third parties, such as banks and auditors.
  • Development of control procedures: Assist in developing control procedures and organisational workflow to increase the team's efficiency and effectiveness.


Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Fluency in English and Spanish: Proficiency in both languages is essential for effective communication.
  • University degree in Accounting/Finance: A relevant degree is required for this role.
  • Microsoft Office skills: Good proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is necessary for task completion.
  • Self-organisation and responsibility: The ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively is crucial.
  • Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail is necessary for maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Teamwork: Collaborative mindset and ability to work with others are essential.
  • Fast learner: Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new systems and processes is vital.

Salary: €25,000 - €30,000 per annum (pro rata)
