We are seeking a Counselor to join our team at IE University's Counseling Department, Office of the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs. The selected candidate will work closely with the Department's team to provide one-on-one interventions with students, addressing their personal, social, and academic challenges. The Counselor will also design, coordinate, and deliver workshops and programs around mental health and illness, with a focus on stress, frustration, anxiety, depression, and adjustment difficulties.
The ideal candidate will have a master's degree in Psychology, Life Coaching, or a related field, and professional fluency in English and Spanish. A minimum of three years of experience in mental health with a client-centered approach is required. The selected candidate will be fully immersed in the day-to-day administrative tasks, including meeting appointments, follow-ups, inter-departmental coordination, and preparing written reports.
The Counselor will be responsible for holding one-on-one meetings with students, proposing and implementing sustainable initiatives, and assisting in content creation for the department's website and social media channels. The team will also rely on the Counselor to assist with ongoing projects and day-to-day administrative tasks.
To thrive in this role, the candidate should be able to actively learn about the particularities of our students' personal, social, and academic journeys at IE University.
