About the Role:

We're seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Professional Information Business Engineering Team in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for managing the development, integration, support, and maintenance of content processing and editorial applications.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the entire software development life cycle, from design to deployment.
  • Lead technical discussions and ensure that our applications follow established SDLC policies and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with our large engineering team to design, implement, and own code all the way through deployment and in production.
  • Build rigorous load, stress, and performance unit tests before deploying software.

Your Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and deploying backend applications.
  • Proficiency in.NET Framework with C# and experience with asynchronous programming, queuing, caching, logging, XML/JSON serialization, and security.
  • Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, and stored procedures, focusing on transactions, ACID compliance, data normalization, and query optimization.
  • Competence in data access from.NET using ORM (Entity Framework or Dapper) and direct queries.
  • Proficiency in writing unit, functional, performance, soak, and stress tests.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Chef) and exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, and SWS or Azure.
  • Knowledge of designing RESTful JSON APIs.
