Industrial Measurement Engineer for Tooling

A challenging role has arisen within Airbus Commercial in Getafe for an Industrial Measurement Engineer to join the Tooling & Robotics team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tools, machines, and measuring systems for present and future aircraft developments.
The key functions of this role include:
- Implementing measurement/inspection systems according to Business Processes and Quality Standards.
- Defining and performing numerical control programming for measurement programs.
- Recognizing engineering and manufacturing engineering requirements and translating them into metrology requirements.
- Supporting and contributing to boundary drawings in the development phase in close collaboration with the industrial capability and tolerance engineer.
- Contributing to the consistency of the overall inspection process for geometric parameters by participating in the development of the MFT "control plan".
- Defining and preparing geometric measurement tasks and enabling a robust inspection process that meets initial engineering requirements.
- Gathering measurement system requirements to make trade-offs between available solutions according to "Airbus Measurement Catalog D" or sharing and generating development requests with Central ME and APT function.
- Ensuring the qualification of the measurement system according to the Measurement System Analysis (MSA) standard.
- Consulting with the Industrial Capabilities and Tolerances Engineer and other necessary specialists to align strategies and support during the creation of the Manufacturing Capability Database (MCD).
- Supporting Practical Problem Solving (PPS) in serial production with non-serial measurement tasks.
- Collaborating with the Process Operations Manager Representative (POM Rep.) to proactively contribute to process improvements.
- Being a member of the Airbus Process Technology (APT) network for industrial measurement to define and execute metrology strategy.
