About the Role
The Corporate Software Development Lead drives the software development lifecycle, working across functional teams to transform requirements into features, managing developments and processes, and conducting software testing and maintenance. This role offers a real opportunity to develop in a highly fast-paced, multicultural, technology-driven environment where collaboration and innovation are at the heart of who we are and what we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical guidance and support the entire development process of the product.
- Develop a well-thought-out plan that helps data scientists to produce a program that meets the needs of the business.
- Prepare a training manual that can be used by application users.
- Attend meetings with business stakeholders, data scientists, SQL developers, business planning analysts, and other staff.
- Improve operations by completing systems analysis work.
- Establish scalable, efficient, automated processes for model development, model validation, and model implementation.
- Deliver production-ready code.
- Proficient in English (spoken and written).
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or other related Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience in a technology-related field such as software engineer or developer.
- Experience with Agile Methodologies.
- 3+ years of Python programming experience.
- Expertise in functional programming specifically in Python.
- Experience in databases (Ms SQL preferred).
- Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures.
- Experience in writing unit tests.
- Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation is a plus.
- Object-oriented programming in Python is a plus.
- Familiarity with GitHub or any other version controlling tool.
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive.
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a passion for learning and problem-solving.
- Understanding of machine learning is a plus.
- Experience with libraries such as pandas, numPy, sciPy, scikit-learn, pyspark is a plus.
