Mortgage Wholesale Closer Job Description

Career Consulting Partners is seeking an experienced Mortgage Wholesale Closer to join our team. As a Mortgage Wholesale Closer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth closing process for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Loan Review and Preparation: Review loan files to ensure accuracy and completeness before initiating the closing process.
  • Closing Document Preparation: Prepare closing documents in compliance with company policies, investor guidelines, and federal/state regulations.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate with brokers, title companies, attorneys, and other stakeholders to arrange timely closings.
  • Closing Conditions and Documentation: Confirm all closing conditions and documentation are met, including validation of financial details.
  • Communication and Issue Resolution: Communicate with lenders, borrowers, and relevant parties to clarify and resolve any issues prior to closing.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with applicable TRID, RESPA, and other industry regulations.
  • Disbursement and Post-Closing: Review and authorize disbursement of funds and loan proceeds, confirming adherence to closing instructions, and manage the post-closing process.
  • Closing Activity Tracking and Reporting: Track and report on closing activities, identifying any bottlenecks and suggesting process improvements.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience as a mortgage closer in wholesale mortgage lending, with a focus on Non-QM loans.
  • Strong understanding of mortgage wholesale products, investor guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong broker relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in loan origination systems (LOS) and CRM tools.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer service and satisfaction.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Base Compensation: $65,000 - $75,000
  • Plus additional performance compensation
