We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Business team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative solutions to enable business customers to buy business, industrial, and scientific products with confidence and at the right price.
Key Responsibilities- Design and code solutions to complex problems, leveraging your expertise in software development and computer science.
- Build and lead the development of new technologies that improve usability and increase performance and scalability.
- Create solutions to run predictions on distributed systems, utilizing innovative technologies at incredible scale and speed.
- Develop distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage.
- Work in an agile environment to deliver high-quality software, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Mentor junior team members in their career growth, sharing your technical expertise and knowledge.
- Experience in professional software development, with a strong track record of delivering complex software systems to customers.
- Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems, with a deep understanding of software engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, C++, or C#, with a strong background in object-oriented design.
- Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent, with a strong academic record.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
