Job Description

Data Science Consultant Bilbao

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Consultant to join our team in Bilbao. As a Data Science Consultant, you will be working on key projects for leading organizations in data mining and knowledge discovery, predictive modeling, trend modeling, simulation models, review of credit rating and scoring models, and quant support to the business and R&D projects.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Work on data mining and knowledge discovery projects to identify trends and patterns in large datasets.
  2. Develop predictive models to forecast future outcomes and trends.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement simulation models.
  4. Review and analyze credit rating and scoring models to ensure accuracy and effectiveness.
  5. Provide quant support to business and R&D projects to inform strategic decisions.
Requirements
  1. Recent graduates or final year students from disciplines relating to Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, Econometrics, or other Quantitative fields.
  2. A Master's degree qualification will be taken into account when determining salary conditions.
  3. Postgraduate studies and/or specialized courses are an asset, especially in Data Science, Quantitative Finance, or similar.
  4. Desirable knowledge of modeling techniques (logit, GLM, time series, decision trees, random forests, clustering), statistical programming languages (SAS, R, Python, Matlab), and big data tools and platforms (Hadoop, Hive, etc.).
  5. Solid academic record.
  6. Strong computer skills.
  7. Knowledge of other languages is desirable.
  8. Get-up-and-go attitude, maturity, responsibility, and strong work ethic.
  9. Strong ability to learn quickly.
  10. Able to integrate easily into multidisciplinary teams.
