About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced bioinformatician to lead our team's efforts in large-scale genomics data analysis. As a Senior Bioinformatics Research Scientist, you will be responsible for analyzing large datasets to identify patterns and insights that can inform our understanding of cancer biology.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bioinformatics, computational biology, or a related field, as well as experience with large-scale sequencing data analysis. You will be working closely with our team of researchers and clinicians to develop novel statistical models and pipelines for analyzing genomic data.

About the Team

The Computational Cancer Genomics lab is a dynamic and interdisciplinary team dedicated to understanding the complexities of cancer biology. Our team includes researchers and clinicians from various backgrounds, and we are committed to fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.

We offer a competitive salary package, including a base salary of €**45,000** per year, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development. Our contract is linked to the Plan de Empleo Juvenil de la CAM, offering stability and security for the right candidate.

Requirements
  • Master's degree or equivalent experience in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with large-scale sequencing data analysis, preferably using R, Python, or other programming languages.
  • Familiarity with cluster compute environments, workflow management systems, and next-generation sequencing data analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.

Please note that we require applicants to be registered in any town in Spain, have Spanish nationality, be citizens of the European Union, or hold an authorization to reside in Spanish territory that allows them to work. Additionally, applicants must be unemployed for at least 1 day at the time of application and not involved in educational or training activities.
