Job Title: Partner Sales Solutions Architect

Are you passionate about helping businesses succeed in the cloud? Do you have a strong background in software architecture and cloud computing? We're looking for a skilled Partner Sales Solutions Architect to join our team at Amazon.

About the Role

As a Partner Sales Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for working with our managed systems integrators to provide architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote and accelerate partner engagements worldwide. You will ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a strategic technical leader in the field to provide architectural guidance and recommendations necessary to promote and accelerate partner engagements worldwide.
  • Ensure customer and partner success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  • Lead deep architectural discussions and design exercises to create world-class solutions built on AWS while ensuring solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
  • Be an AWS evangelist; educate customers and partners of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
  • Author or otherwise contribute to AWS customer-facing publications such as white papers, blogs, and proof of concepts.
  • In partnership with the sales and partner team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS and its partner solutions.
  • Build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers and partners to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solutions architect community.
Requirements

We're looking for someone with:

  • Demonstrable hands-on implementation or consulting experience and a strong knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in customer-facing roles and a proven record of effective collaborations across multiple internal organizations and interactions with partner and customers.
  • Experience working with end-user or developer communities.
  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure and network architecture, DevOps, or software engineering.
  • 3+ years of design/implementation/consulting experience with Enterprise systems.
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for someone with:

  • Experience migrating or transforming legacy customer solutions to the cloud or architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Familiarity with common enterprise services (Directory Services, Information Assurance, Virtual Desktop, etc.), products (i.e., Oracle, SAP) and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with both external and internal executives, IT Management, and developers.
  • Experience in positioning professional services to prospective customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly such as AWS Certification, eg. AWS Solutions Architect Associate.
