About the Role
We are seeking an experienced R&D Cell Prototyping Manager to lead the fabrication of cells within our laboratory in a dry room environment. The successful candidate will establish the consistency and quality of cell fabrication through meticulous attention to detail and adherence to best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers, technicians, and operators in designing, manufacturing, optimizing, and qualifying BasqueVolt cells.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure priorities are translated into cell engineering R&D goals and KPIs.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Battery and Material Science, or equivalent degree in battery cell design and engineering.
- At least 8 years of experience in Li-based battery engineering program management and testing.
- Experience leading a team in producing battery cells (pouch) and processing electrode materials.
- Deep electrochemical, chemical, or mechanical engineering background with recent experience in cell engineering for energy storage devices.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Spanish and other European languages is advantageous.
