Job Summary

The Petroleum Inspector is responsible for performing basic inspection work in petroleum and petrochemical terminals and refineries, as well as on board barges and ships, adhering to industry standards and procedures published by API and Saybolt.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist other inspectors and Account Managers in departmental duties.
  • Ensure efficient work within the location to meet client needs accurately and on time.
  • Work at different locations and on offshore operations as requested by the company.
  • Develop and fulfill functions within the port activity and sometimes offshore on high seas.
  • Run operations at the lowest possible costs while meeting safety, quality of service, and maintenance of assets requirements.
  • Cooperate fully with the department and Managers on all assignments.
  • Follow all company procedures established by Saybolt and Core Laboratories.

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 Kilograms, and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 Kilograms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles and is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic substances. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
