Job Title: Senior Global Procurement Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Global Procurement Manager to join our team at DSM Nutritional Products in Barcelona, Spain. As a key member of the Flavor Global Sourcing team, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of purchasing strategies for several global raw material portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of the purchasing strategy for several global raw material portfolios
• Work closely with internal teams and suppliers to ensure successful delivery in line with supply chain and business requirements
• Negotiate and formalize contracts at lowest Total Cost of Ownership for categories
• Identify and present new project ideas and cost-saving initiatives
• Coordinate new source or raw material introduction locally
• Submit and follow through on internal requests, and work with suppliers and internal partners to facilitate introductions
• Work closely with our Regulatory Affairs team to ensure compliance to global, regional or local regulation of our purchased raw materials
• Lead, support or coordinate cross-functional teams and support special projects upon requests
• Own the Budget and Price forecast processes for sub-categories
• Develop a strong knowledge of the raw materials and understanding of the market drivers & monitor competitive factors & risks
• Contribute to Market Intelligence reporting
• Effective communication with colleagues & business partners
• Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders

Requirements:
• Master's Degree in Business, Purchasing, Finance, Food Technology, Chemistry, Science, Agronomy
• Possess 7 years of experience (at least 5 years in Purchasing) (from Flavors & Fragrance industry, Food, Chemical Industry, Naturals or Ingredients business is a plus)
• Know-how on strategic sourcing process including negotiation
• Experience in an International Business is a strong asset; Experience in Chemicals/ Flavors and Fragrance materials is a plus
• Demonstrate strong communication (verbal and written skills), analytical, strategic, quantitative and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrate ability to work in teams and in a fast-paced and challenging environment
• Strong time-management skills, self-starter, independent and able to work in a global environment
• Fluent in English; French or Spanish language skills are a plus
