About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analytics Engineer to join our Logging & Monitoring squad at Swiss Re. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and operational reporting solutions that drive business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data pipelines using distributed computing frameworks such as Spark and PySpark.
  • Develop and maintain operational reporting solutions that provide insights into application behavior and system performance.
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and operation teams to ensure system security, data integrity, and high availability.
  • Stay up-to-date with technology trends and identify new solutions that meet our requirements.
  • Provide technical support and consulting to our customers.

About the Team

Our Logging & Monitoring squad is responsible for developing and operating state-of-the-art logging, monitoring, and event management platforms. We aim to empower developers, application owners, and platform owners to identify risks, understand SLAs, reduce mean time to resolution, and stay ahead of long-term trends.

About You

We are looking for a passionate and experienced data engineer with excellent skills in Python, Spark, and PySpark. You should have a strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture concepts, as well as experience in software development, continuous integration/deployment, and system engineering in large-scale, distributed cloud solutions.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Palantir Foundry and Azure.
  • Worked in agile projects using agile collaboration tools such as Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of machine learning and MLOps/model operationalization.
  • Experience with processing time series data using InfluxDB, Elastic, and Prometheus.
