Our Policy in Action (PIA) Practice
We are expanding our services in our Policy in Action (PIA) practice. To promote this growth, we are seeking a Programme Finance Specialist to support the implementation of large European and UK contracts.
Job Summary
The Programme Finance Specialist will assist with a variety of aspects of project financial management across a range of projects. This is a varied role covering many elements of project finance, including:
- Financial Administration: Accurately updating various databases and spreadsheets with budgetary commitments and invoices, reconciliations, regularly checking and monitoring financial transactions.
- Project Financial Review: Providing monthly/quarterly updates to project managers of financial performance for a range of projects and programmes.
- Project Evaluations: Manipulating data sets of completed projects in MS Power BI for evaluation and future pricing purposes.
- Project Set Up: Preparing project workbooks for entry of budgets into the core systems.
- Resource Management: Updating the RM system with time budgets for projects and extracting and preparing reports to assist the forward planning of resource availability of the PIA team.
- Contract Amendments and Renewals: Assisting with the repricing of projects when contract updates are requested by clients.
- Purchase Order Requests: Raising POs for a wide variety of services, including subcontractors, travel bookings, liaising with the internal procurement team.
- Subcontractors: Monitoring contracted days to days used in various spreadsheets and handling contract amendments.
- Travel Costs: Working with colleagues to maintain visibility and control of travel budgets through the PO system and spreadsheets.
- Travel Database: Providing an updated dashboard of travel-related statistics in MS Power BI.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A graduate or minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar environment.
- A good standard in Maths/figures, demonstrated by qualifications or experience.
- Excellent oral and written English.
