Job Summary

We are seeking a Strategic Portfolio Manager to lead the development and delivery of our enterprise data and AI strategy. As a key member of our Data Strategy and Innovation team, you will be responsible for engaging with senior customers and SMEs to develop data and analytics strategies for different business units and group functions. You will also collaborate with corporate strategy and innovation teams to translate business needs into requirements for our data and analytics strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and deliver the enterprise data and AI strategy to align with business priorities and outcomes.
  2. Engage with senior customers and SMEs to develop data and analytics strategies for different business units and group functions.
  3. Collaborate with corporate strategy and innovation teams to translate business needs into requirements for our data and analytics strategy.
  4. Create and evaluate data-driven initiatives in our core business.
  5. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators / metrics to reflect progress in our data and analytics strategy.
  6. Document and present strategy and roadmap to senior team members.
  7. Effective project and portfolio delivery management and decision support.
  8. Thought leadership and support the Chief Data Officer's leadership team in providing consistent delivery and portfolio governance across the Data & Advanced Analytics organization.

Requirements

  1. Advanced Degree in one of the following fields: Computer science, mathematics, engineering, Information Technology or a quantitative field.
  2. 3+ years experience of leading a small team and a proven track record of leading successful teams and mentoring talent.
  3. 7+ years experience in the field of digital or data and analytics with demonstrated ability for the development of strategies and roadmaps.
  4. Strong stakeholder orientation, understanding of customer needs, with experience in influencing directions and driving outcomes.
  5. Excellent communications and engagement skills, with awareness and experience in different methods to capture ideas, sustain and solicit participation.
  6. Substantial experience of establishing program management frameworks within large, complex, global organisations.
  7. Good to have: Experience in an industry-related environment (manufacturing, energy sector).
  8. You have a strong customer focus and excellent communication skills. You navigate easily in a global & multicultural environment.
  9. Strong understanding of data models, reference and meta data management and data quality & issue management.
  10. You are open-minded and willing to learn and constantly improve own skills.
  11. You are result-driven with excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
  12. Proven experience in navigating complex, matrixed organization, and driving outcome at scale.
