Job Title: Space Operations Satellite Manager

Alén Space is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Operations Satellite Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Mission Control Center team, you will be responsible for leading the design, preparation, and execution of operations for our satellites and payloads.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and plan operations for in-orbit LEO satellites and payloads.
  • Design and prepare operations for different missions.
  • Prepare procedures and sequences for our satellite platforms and payloads.
  • Analyze telemetry to monitor the health of constellations, satellites, and payloads.
  • Prepare and execute LEOP and Commissioning campaigns.
  • Prepare and execute routine and contingency operations.
  • Support the final on-ground testing of satellites.
  • Collaborate with the software team in developing and testing new tools.
  • Evolve satellite operation manuals and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the system engineering team for new mission design and evolution of satellite platforms.
  • Interact with customers and other stakeholders like launch providers and ground station networks.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of experience in the role of Operations Engineer.
  • Knowledge of common spacecraft architecture and subsystems.
  • Knowledge of STK.
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Calm under pressure (real-time/console operations).
  • Methodical and comfortable following procedures.
