Job Overview

The Binding Site, part of Thermo Fisher Scientific, is a global leader in specialty diagnostics that provides diagnostic assays and instruments to improve the diagnosis and management of blood cancers and immune system disorders.

Our team is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for performing on-site installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of our PDX products.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Install, repair, and maintain PDX products at customer sites.
  2. Provide technical support to customers via phone and on-site visits.
  3. Accurately report service activity through our integrated management system.
  4. Manage stock of spare parts and coordinate stock counts as needed.
  5. Participate in specific projects, tasks, or reports commissioned by the manager.
  6. Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and technical training.
  7. Collaborate with applications and sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, electrical, mechanical, electronics, or related field.
  2. 3+ years of technical field service experience.
  3. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  4. Experience in the medical equipment industry, preferably in clinical analyzers, is an advantage.
  5. Multidisciplinary knowledge and experience in electronics, mechanics, and computing is valued.
  6. PC literacy including MS Office and Outlook.
  7. Intermediate level of English.
  8. Maintain a valid car driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
