Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Software Engineer to participate in QA/validation activities for systems developed by Carrier Corp. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, testing verification, and system-level testing.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design of test cases for HVAC system applications and controls
  • Executing tests while tracking progress, documenting results, and diagnosing issues identified
  • Defect tracking and reporting
  • Closed collaboration with software design teams in the process of new product development
  • Defining testing approach based on functional requirements
  • Developing test procedures for automated and manual tests
  • Performing manual and automated tests and troubleshooting analysis

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master of Science in Electronics, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Previous experience of at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Knowledge of software testing, design methods, and engineering processes, including QA processes and QA methodologies
  • Considerable background in quality management systems
  • Good understanding of electronic hardware principles
  • Knowledge of industry standard protocols such as BACnet, LON, Modbus
  • Scripting experience (Python, ...)
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent Spanish and good command of English (spoken and written)
