About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our Supply Chain team at Primark. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the management of all mainland Europe site transport operations, ensuring proactive, cost-efficient, safe, and service-focused operations and customer services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day operational management and coordination of all European store deliveries across 14 countries from 6 Distribution Centres.
  • Analyse weekly/daily volumes to ensure the most cost-effective transport solution is executed.
  • Ensure haulier compliance (Health and Safety, legal, process, and service levels) are actively managed through audit and reporting.
  • Provide weekly/periodical reporting of KPIs (e.g., cost, compliance, load fill, empty running, round trip/single trip, kms, PvA, etc.).
  • Develop 'best in class' standards to support the development of transport operations.

Requirements

  • Track record and knowledge of domestic and European transport operations.
  • Proficient in transport planning and scheduling systems.
  • Experience of change management and continuous improvement methodology.
  • National/European recognised transport qualification.
  • Good knowledge of current EU transport legislation.
