Job Title: MYP Sciences Teacher
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced teacher to join our team at SEK International School. As a MYP Sciences Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching Sciences in the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Biology in the Diploma Programme (DP).
Key Responsibilities:
- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Develop and implement teaching plans for Sciences and Biology, and other areas within the department.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Take part in standardizing assessment tasks and contribute to curriculum research and improvement.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Attend department meetings and participate in collaborative planning sessions.
- Student Support: Empower students to become inquirers, critical thinkers, and lifelong learners through the exploration of biology and environmental sciences.
- Professional Development: Stay updated on the IB program guides taught and participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree in Biology or Natural Sciences and Master in Teaching.
- Experience: Teaching experience, preferably in one of the IB programmes (MYP and/or Diploma) in the areas of Biology or Social Sciences.
- Language Skills: Native or near-native speaker English level. Speaking Spanish and Catalan will be valued.
- Technical Skills: Microsoft Office user and experience with other educational platforms to enhance classroom dynamics and promote such tools with the team.

- Contract: Permanent.
- Working Hours: 9:30 – 17:10 h.
