About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Leader or Software Development Manager to join our team in Valencia. This is an exciting opportunity for you to lead multiple development teams and shape the future of banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Leadership: Provide strategic technical direction and mentorship to development teams, guiding them in the adoption of best practices, architectural patterns, and cutting-edge technologies.
- Problem Solving and Innovation: Identify and resolve complex technical challenges, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within engineering teams.
- Architectural Design: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and resilient system architectures, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with product owners, designers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Code Quality and Standards: Champion code quality and maintainability, driving the adoption of coding standards, automated testing, and code review practices.
- Mentorship and Talent Development: Mentor and coach engineers, fostering their professional growth and empowering them to take ownership of their work.
- Technical Decision-Making: Make informed technical decisions, balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic goals.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify bottlenecks, implementing optimizations to improve system efficiency and responsiveness.
Requirements:
- Deep Technical Expertise: Proven expertise in multiple programming languages, frameworks, and technologies relevant to the organization's needs.
- System Architecture: Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices, cloud-native architectures, and infrastructure as code.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, leveraging analytical skills and domain knowledge.
- Design Patterns and Best Practices: Solid grasp of design patterns, software development methodologies, and best practices.
- Performance Optimization: Experience in profiling, benchmarking, and optimizing application performance.
- Security: Understanding of security principles and best practices, including threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and secure coding techniques.
Preferred Skills:
- Educational Background: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Salary: The estimated salary for this role is €120,000 - €150,000 per year, depending on experience.
