About the Role
Solvay is a leading chemical company that is all about innovation and collaboration. We're looking for an experienced Electrical Distribution Engineer to join our team in the Technical Services Unit department. As an Electrical Distribution Engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance, operation, and development of the electrical grid in collaboration with external contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the electrical team and contractors, ensuring the electrical grid is safe and efficient.
- Develop and manage the Electrical Network Annual Maintenance Plan.
- Design and carry out modifications and new projects into the grid.
- Ensure and enforce both internal safety and internal environmental procedures.
About You
We're looking for someone with relevant work experience in industrial environments, particularly in electrical maintenance and project management. You should have a strong knowledge of high and medium voltage equipment, as well as experience in maintenance, construction management, and drafting of technical specifications. Knowledge of SAP, AutoCAD, and industrial SCADA systems is also desirable. Advanced computer skills and intermediate level of English are required. You should be a strong communicator and problem-solver, with a methodical and proactive approach to work.
About the Pay and Benefits
We offer an attractive and equitable pay package, with a starting salary base of around 40,000 EUR gross annually. Once the training period is over, your salary may be higher based on your skills and experience. We also provide a competitive total rewards package, including a bonus and/or other incentives. Our Solvay Cares program offers a minimum of 16 weeks of parenting leave for all employees, as well as a package with healthcare, disability, and life insurance coverage.
