Job Description
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary leader to fill the position of Primary School Principal. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for leading and managing teaching and learning, overseeing student life, and contributing to all aspects of school strategic and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage teaching and learning, ensuring high educational standards across the Primary division.
- Oversee student life, with responsibility for the welfare, behaviour, and personal development of all students.
- Contribute actively as a member of the School Leadership Team (SLT) to all aspects of school strategic and daily operations.
Leadership and Management
You will serve as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), which includes the Head of School, Business Operations Manager, Student Life Coordinator, and Curriculum Coordinator. Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
- Taking full responsibility for the daily operations and coordination of the primary school.
- Leading the primary school team, fostering collaboration among classroom teachers and learning support specialists.
- Working closely with the HOS to formulate and periodically review the development plan, strategic objectives, and priorities for the Primary division.
Program Development and Oversight
You will actively contribute to the development and growth of RWIS's core programmes, including character education, sustainability initiatives, and performing arts. Key responsibilities include:
- Actively contributing to the development and growth of RWIS's core programmes.
- Leading the design and implementation of innovative projects and service-learning opportunities that foster student engagement with the local and global community.
Human Resources
You will line manage all primary school academic staff, with oversight of disciplinary matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Line managing all primary school academic staff.
- Conducting regular appraisals, lesson observations, and review action plans to ensure the highest standards of teaching and learning.
- Using performance management systems to support the professional development of staff.
