Job Summary

Microsoft is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Data Center Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's online services.

About the Role

This is a critical role that requires a strong understanding of electrical systems and infrastructure. You will work alongside a team of industry professionals to support 24x7x365 on-site data center operations and electrical infrastructures.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement electrical infrastructure for data centers
  • Develop and maintain electrical systems and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data center operations
  • Identify and mitigate operational risks
  • Develop and maintain emergency operating procedures and standard operating procedures
  • Act as technical authority for on-site operations of electrical systems
  • Guide and oversee maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment
  • Establish and coordinate maintenance and safety procedures
  • Assist in capacitation and training processes
  • Participate in commissioning processes

Requirements

  • Proven relevant and related technical engineering experience
  • Ability to conduct business in English
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements

  • Extensive relevant and related technical engineering experience
  • Ability to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
