Bioinformatics Expert for Transcriptomic Analysis

The Center for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is a leading international biomedical research institute based in Barcelona, Spain. We are seeking a talented computational expert with experience in next-generation sequencing data, particularly in single-cell transcriptomics and alternative splicing.
The primary goal of the job is to provide support to the projects carried out in the lab. The job will include analysis of alternative splicing and gene expression using single-cell long-read sequencing data, analysis of alternative splicing and gene expression using bulk RNA-seq, and identification of genome mutations in WGS data.
About the lab: The Irimia lab is an international and multi-disciplinary team dually affiliated with UPF and CRG. It focuses primarily on elucidating the role of alternative splicing in vertebrate development and adult function, generally applying explicit evolutionary perspectives.
Whom would we like to hire? We are looking for a professional with experience in next-generation sequencing analyses, ability to interact and collaborate with biologists, and a degree or PhD in disciplines such as Bioinformatics, Physics, Statistics, Biology, etc.
