Job Description
As a Data Center Regional Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing full life-cycle support to our AWS data centers. This includes design inception, site improvement, and maintenance. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. Your expertise will also be essential in developing innovative solutions for our data centers.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform design and equipment submittal review for new data centers
• Troubleshoot site/equipment failures and create corrective action documentation
• Support operational issues through ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support
• Develop conceptual designs for existing data center upgrades and design solutions
• Interface with internal data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards and consistency
Requirements
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. 5-7 years of experience in data center mechanical equipment, including AHUs, CRAHs, DX units, Generators, Pumps, Evaporative Cooling, is required. Knowledge of commercial/industrial mechanical systems, psychometric theory, and software tools for calculation and data processing is preferred.
Salary and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience. Additional benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and generous paid time off.
