We are seeking an experienced IT professional to fill the role of Cloud Infrastructure Systems Administrator.
This position is a great opportunity for individuals with a strong background in Linux system administration, particularly with Ubuntu. The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal configuration and performance of our servers, as well as enforcing best security practices.
The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge of operating systems configuration, network configuration, monitoring systems, and maintenance & security. Additionally, experience with Tomcat Application Server, Apache2 HTTP Server, and Java installation and configuration is essential.
As a mid-senior level full-time Information Technology professional, this role offers a challenging and dynamic work environment with opportunities for growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the optimal configuration of Ubuntu, Apache HTTP Server, and Apache Tomcat for running our company's solutions
- Ensure that our servers deliver optimal performance and provide adequate means of observability
- Enforce best security practices on our servers in compliance with ISO 27001
- Develop and evolve the Packer processes responsible for the recurrent generation of machine images for Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure
- Support the Infrastructure and Cloud Evolution team in developing automated procedures for provisioning Ubuntu servers
Requirements:
- >4 years experience working with Ubuntu Linux (server) as a System Administrator (or other Debian-based distributions)
- Tomcat Application Server knowledge
- Apache2 HTTP Server knowledge
- Java installation and configuration knowledge
