Culinary Trainee

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cook Trainee to join our team at Six Senses Ibiza. As a Cook Trainee, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced kitchen environment, rotating through various cuisines and learning from our experienced chefs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support farm-to-table preparation, ensuring fresh, local products are used
• Learn to prepare and present dishes across different cuisines
• Minimize waste, repurpose ingredients, and follow eco-friendly kitchen practices
• Gain experience in Italian-Mediterranean, Latin American, and Mediterranean cuisines
• Maintain high hygiene standards in food handling and kitchen cleanliness
• Work closely with senior chefs, learning culinary techniques and kitchen operations
• Assist in crafting dishes for outlets like Market, Orchard, La Plaza, Fogons, and Beach Caves
• Prepare varied meals for guest room service, ensuring quality and efficiency
• Adapt to guest preferences, dietary restrictions, and special requests
• Build knowledge in diverse cuisines, sustainability, and service timing

Requirements:

• Prior experience working in a kitchen environment
• Experience with Mediterranean cuisines and hands-on training
• Demonstrated interest or experience in sustainable cooking practices
• Strong understanding of basic cooking techniques and local seasonal ingredients
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and maintaining a clean, organized kitchen
