About the Role

Riverbed Technology is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Linux Developer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining our core Android solution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute Linux projects end-to-end, meeting milestones and mitigating risks.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality Linux-based software products, ensuring they meet customer and business requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement system architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
  • Work in an Agile environment, prioritizing tasks, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality code.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation, ensuring it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.
  • Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and maintainability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Linux technologies, trends, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our products and processes.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in Linux development, with a strong understanding of Linux internals, including system calls, process management, and file systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Golang, C, and C++ programming languages, with experience in developing high-quality, efficient, and scalable software.
  • Experience with tools and libraries for system monitoring and data collection, with a strong understanding of Linux security mechanisms, user permissions, and access controls.
  • Proven track record of creating and maintaining high-quality, secure, and reliable Linux-based software products.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, QA, and product management.
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively.
