Job Description

This role will play a critical part in our new oncology franchise, providing patients and healthcare professionals access to innovative treatments. The focus will be on oncology physicians who treat patients with metastatic Triple Negative Breast Cancer (mTNBC). Therapeutic Specialists across all existing therapy areas are enthusiastic about our patient-centric approach and expert in discussing and explaining the characteristics and benefits of our treatment(s) in a highly scientific and dynamic healthcare environment.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Prepare business plans and account plans for your territory aligned to local cancer alliance national brand plan priorities for mTNBC, communicate required actions to achieve goals. With guidance, initiate systems to monitor sales progress and action plans.
  • Identify and map out patient referral journey pathways within the cancer alliances on your territory and facilitate patient access to treatment.
  • Achieve sales targets in assigned territory.
  • Work in partnership with Regional Market Access and Medical colleagues to ensure local access is in place for Gilead medicines.
  • Establish and develop business relationships with key customers, accounts, and relevant key opinion leaders. Set and achieve customer contact plans and deliver related KPIs.
  • Manage territory budgets for customer contacts, speaker events, and other miscellaneous external expenditures.
  • Maintain compliance with country regulations and code of conduct at all times.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a passion for commercializing breakthrough medicines, a strong competitive and commercial mindset, robust scientific acumen, and a patient- and customer-centric approach. Prior experience with solid tumors (mandatory) and especially in the therapeutic field of breast cancer (preferred) is essential. A scientific degree in sciences, pharma, or similar is required. Established contacts to relevant customers and excellent understanding of targeted therapies and personalized medicines are also crucial.
