Job Title: Health and Safety Specialist
A challenging role is available for a dedicated Health and Safety Specialist to develop, implement, maintain, and oversee health and safety programs across retail stores, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing occupational risks across all departments and promoting a culture of safety awareness that is engaging and informative.
- Ensuring adherence to internal health and safety policies and procedures company-wide.
- Conducting routine inspections and risk assessments of retail facilities to identify hazards and ensure compliance (e.g., fire, psychosocial, ergonomics).
- Providing reports on legal compliance related to health and safety matters.
- Collaborating with Store Managers, Country Leaders, HR, and other stakeholders to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Organizing and delivering health and safety training programs (safety protocols, emergency procedures, injury prevention).
- Maintaining accurate records of health and safety activities, including incident and training reports.
- Developing and implementing emergency management plans.
- Liaising with Occupational Healthcare services and devising appropriate action plans.
- Overseeing accident reporting and investigation systems.
- Coordinating health and safety compliance among external suppliers.
- Representing the organization in local health and safety committees with employee representatives.
- Leading awareness campaigns and training initiatives on health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Staying updated on health and safety regulations and industry best practices.
Key Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar health and safety role, with significant contribution and influence within an organization.
- Qualifications and certifications in relevant health and safety courses and processes.
- Ability to interpret and advise on legal and regulatory health and safety issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
