Propulsion Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Test Engineer to join our team at PAYLOAD AEROSPACE. As a key member of our propulsion team, you will be responsible for testing and validating our rocket propulsion systems to ensure they meet the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Propulsion System Testing: Design, develop, and execute test plans for our rocket propulsion systems, including liquid rocket engine testing and propulsive stage testing.
- Test Facility Operations: Coordinate with technicians to operate cryogenic facilities, fuel facilities, and high-pressure lines for engine testing.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and prepare data reviews and performance reports to evaluate propulsion test facility performance.
- System Integration: Work with the System Engineering department to define, coordinate, and control the functional and physical interfaces between the propulsion system and the launch vehicle.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and operations, to ensure seamless integration of propulsion systems into our launch vehicles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, maneuver in tight spaces, and handle items weighing more than 15kg.
- Desired Experience: 5+ years of experience in rocket propulsion subsystem testing activities or aerospace-related propulsion testing activities.
