As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the underwriting function for property activities in Spain, ensuring a high level of technical proficiency in all areas.
Key responsibilities include:
- Direct and manage overall technical underwriting for Property activities in Spain.
- Responsible for product development, working closely with the Head of Underwriting Spain and Product CUOs.
- Manage the Property portfolio in Spain to achieve business mix and performance goals.
- Maintain and execute Property underwriting authority delegation and referral processes in Spain.
- Monitor insurance market trends and developments in Spain to inform underwriting policy and strategy.
- Coach and lead a high-performance Property underwriting team.
- Develop effective relationships with insureds and brokers to strengthen trading relationships and secure new business.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Executive leadership experience in property underwriting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Strategic thinking and business management skills.
- Knowledge of exposure and experience rating processes.
- Fluency in Spanish and English.
