About the Group:
The Supramolecular NanoChemistry and Materials Group at the Institut Català de Nanociència i Nanotecnologia (ICN2) is a research team focused on the design and synthesis of novel functional architectures and devices through the control of supramolecular assembly at the nanometer scale.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on the synthesis and characterization of reticular materials.
- Develop clip-off synthesis of new materials/compounds using reticular materials as precursors.
- Participate in writing scientific reports and papers, attending project meetings and scientific conferences, and in outreach activities within the project.
- Supervise PhD students.
Requirements:
- PhD Degree in Chemistry (essential requirement).
- Experience in photochemistry or biocatalysis (with enzymes) is required.
- Reticular Chemistry (design, synthesis and characterization of MOFs or COFs) will be positively evaluated.
- Personal Competences: Intrinsic motivation, strong commitment, fluent in English, good communication skills, responsibility, independence.
Working Conditions:
- Full time work (37.5 hours/week).
- Contract Length: 1 year.
- Location: Bellaterra (Barcelona).
- Salary will depend on qualifications and demonstrated experience.
- Support to the relocation issues.
- Life Insurance.
