ROLE SUMMARY: Inspired Education Group is a distinguished educational organization dedicated to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning atmosphere. Our commitment to academic excellence and holistic development empowers students to evolve into confident, compassionate, and globally-conscious individuals.Role Overview: We are seeking a passionate and seasoned SENDCo to manage the inclusive education framework at our institution. This role encompasses providing strategic direction, monitoring student progress, and nurturing high-achieving classrooms that cater to all learners. The ideal candidate will be an energetic leader who builds effective relationships within the educational community and with external partners. They will positively contribute to our institution's inclusive and multicultural ethos, empowering students while offering guidance, support, and professional development to educators.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Direct the Special Educational Needs provision, ensuring that students with SEND receive the necessary support for both academic and social achievements.
  • Foster and sustain constructive relationships with students, parents, staff, and external organizations to enhance collaboration and promote students' overall well-being.
  • Oversee the English Language Development program for English Language Learners (ELLs).
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training to educators on effective methods for supporting SEND students within mainstream classrooms.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to enact policies that advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Work with Admissions to facilitate student placements and offer expertise on optimal support strategies.
  • Serve as the Safeguarding Lead, closely addressing child protection issues.
  • Supervise the 1:1 support program for students with complex needs.
  • Conduct assessments of students, track progress, and maintain precise records.
  • Lead SEND staff in applying best practices and strategies to meet student needs.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Education or a related discipline (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or its equivalent.
  • Extensive experience working with students with SEND.
  • Strong leadership capabilities and the ability to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in SEND.
  • Proficiency in English (Spanish language skills are advantageous).
