Arcadis is seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our team in Madrid, Spain. As an Arcadian, you will contribute to delivering world-leading sustainable design, engineering, and consultancy solutions for natural and built assets.

The successful candidate will have the ability and ambition to play an important role in Arcadis ́s Iberian team for Site Evaluation and Remediation (SER) and Environmental Construction Services (ECS) in Spain and Portugal.

The Environmental Consultant will be involved in the complete life cycle of environmental subsoil investigation and remediation projects, including fieldwork and office tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fieldwork: Installation, operation, and monitoring of remediation systems, soil and groundwater sampling, pilot treatability tests, and supervision of drilling execution and monitoring/remediation well installation.
  • Office tasks: Conceptual design of remedial approaches, planning and coordination of fieldwork, management of subcontractor companies, technical data management, assessment, and interpretation, and reporting of investigation and remediation results.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering (chemical, mechanical, geology, or other environmental-related studies)
  • 1 or 2 years of experience with soil and groundwater contamination projects
  • Specific qualification in remediation of soil and groundwater (preferably in-situ treatments)
  • High commitment to project delivery
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good level of English
