About the Job

In this role as an SAP ABAP Developer, you will be part of the Indirect Procurement Product team at REWE Digital, a subsidiary of the REWE Group. Your primary focus will be on smooth procurement processes for non-trade goods, collaborating with specialist departments and users in stores, warehouses, and central locations using SAP ARIBA, SAP ERP, and SAP S/4HANA.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will plan, develop, configure, and operate efficient systems and applications for the REWE Group, one of the leading trade and tourism groups in Germany and Europe.
  • You will work on sophisticated, company-specific applications in the S/4HANA and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) environment based on ABAP OO programming and RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).
  • You will design, test, and implement complex SAP/NON-SAP interfaces using modern web technologies.
  • You will optimize business processes, develop solutions for digitalization and harmonization measures in procurement, and support the operational implementation.
  • You will contribute to the team's success, working closely with specialist departments to find valuable ideas for further improvements.

Requirements

  • You will have several years of experience (4+) in programming with ABAP/ -OO and SAP MM & SD modules.
  • You will be apt in handling various development methods and tools, with existing knowledge in the area of S/4 HANA being a valuable addition.
  • You will have good experience in interface programming, such as IDOC, REST, or batch input.
  • You will have a very good command of English, which is a basic requirement for our communication.
  • You will be willing to learn and grow with our company, using our offer of access including free learning time on the SAP Learning Hub.
