Job Summary:

The Sales Director will be responsible for overseeing and managing sales, G&E, and reservations to ensure maximum revenue for 7 Pines Resort Ibiza.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and promote a team work environment with effective and clear communication amongst co-workers.
  • Work closely with the Global Team (Sales & Revenue) to develop strategies to maximize REVPAR and grow market share.
  • Ensure best client service is being made available through communication amongst the team and other departments, cross-training within the department, and appropriate office coverage.
  • Work with Cluster Sales team to ensure understanding of sales strategy and effective implementation of this strategy for the segment.
  • Work with hotel management team to create and implement a sales plan addressing revenue, customers, market, and segments: Leisure and MICE.
  • Set example through professional, friendly attitude towards clients and co-workers, timely response to clients and co-workers' needs, and observance of sales office standard.
  • Ensure hotel meets or exceeds budgeted goals.
  • Follow and track company cross-sell procedures.
  • Utilize and expand company profile database to determine geographic areas for travel/MICE agent calls while maintaining top and existing travel/MICE agent accounts.
  • Organize travel/MICE agent month and industry rates for slow months.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of promotions, both internal and external.
  • Create a focus on attracting new business.
  • Attend and contribute to the weekly Rev Max meeting.
  • Update and own the sales strategy & sales plan with General Manager and Global Team (Sales and Revenue).
  • Update and own the month-end report (GM Monthly report).
  • Review and approve any special negotiated rates by signing the contract (WHS, G&E, Consortia, TMCs).
  • Provide positive and efficient leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential.
  • Lead on-property sales functions to build long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of hotel sales objectives.
  • Participate in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.
  • Develop and send together with the Cluster Sales team informative press releases to targeted lists highlighting all activities and promotions.
  • Responsible for the training of staff.
  • Follow and promote hotel standards with guests, co-workers.
  • Evaluate and drive the hotel's participation in the various sales channels, Market Sales, Event Booking Centres, electronic lead channels, etc.
  • Monitor all day-to-day activities of direct reports.
  • Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked.
