Job Title: Postdoctoral Researcher for PCM-Based Thermal Management Solutions Development
Job Description:
The Phase Transitions and Critical Behaviors Group at CIC energiGUNE is seeking a postdoctoral researcher to join our Thermal Energy Storage and Conversion research area. This position is part of an industry-collaborative project aimed at developing innovative thermal management solutions for photovoltaic panels.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and characterize phase change materials (PCMs) primarily based on hydrated salts.
- Modify PCMs as necessary to enhance thermal properties and stability.
- Conduct thorough characterization of thermal and structural properties using DSC, TGA, XRD, SEM, FTIR, Laser Flash, and other relevant techniques.
- Fabricate modular solutions containing PCMs on a lab-scale.
- Design and build small-scale test benches to evaluate the performance of developed PCM solutions.
- Integrate designed products into real applications and test under relevant conditions.

Candidate Profile:
- PhD Degree in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Thermal engineering or related fields.
- Solid background in phase change materials, preferably inorganics, as well as physical-chemical and structural characterizations.
