Job Overview
Pangea Aerospace is seeking an experienced Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in Barcelona. As a key member of our Systems Department, you will be responsible for leading the development of our ARCOS aerospike engine, working closely with cross-functional teams to define and implement system-level architecture, requirements, and trade studies.
About the Role
As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will take on a leadership role in the definition of the engine's concept of operations, structuring and defining engine requirements, ensuring compliance, performing relevant system-level trade-offs, and defining the top-level architecture. You will work closely with colleagues in the Systems Department, as well as with the Technical Coordinator and Project Manager for the ARCOS project.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the ARCOS aerospike engine, including system-level architecture, requirements, and trade studies.
- Define and manage the engine's concept of operations, requirements, and interfaces.
- Perform relevant system-level trade-offs and define the top-level architecture.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in systems engineering for aerospace vehicles or rocket propulsion.
- Experience in implementing ECSS standards or other relevant standards.
- Well-rounded understanding of relevant disciplines in the field of rocket propulsion.
