We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant Payable to join our Finance department in Barcelona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the Accounts Payable Ledger, providing assistance with payment runs, and reconciling bank statements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage the Accounts Payable Ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payments
  • Provide assistance with payment runs, including processing invoices and reconciling bank statements
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify any discrepancies
  • Post and reconcile school finance reports weekly
  • Reconcile intercompany accounts at month end
  • Advising staff and assisting them with queries and gathering information as required
Requirements
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree, preferably inclusive of accounting modules
  • AP experience required
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (V Lookups, pivot tables, formatting of data...)
  • Strong technical accounting skills
  • Strong customer service ethos and high attention to detail
  • Systematic and organised approach
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to process high volumes of work, to deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Quick to pick up and apply knowledge
  • High level of initiative, self-motivation and drive
  • Reliable with a flexible attitude
  • English and Spanish required level C1/C2
