Job Summary
The Senior Editorial Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of medical documents while maintaining familiarity with FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and industry standards. This individual will lead complex and large medical writing projects, provide technical support and expertise, and conduct training of medical editing staff.
About the Role
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of FDA, EU, and other relevant guidelines and industry standards to ensure compliance and excellence in document production.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality medical documents while managing timelines and budgets.
- Collaborate with medical writers, editors, and study teams to develop and maintain editorial standards, style guides, and best practices.
- Provide expert guidance on data integrity review, compilation, publishing, and editorial standards to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, clinical sciences, or English/journalism; or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in medical writing, editing, or related field, preferably with exposure to Adobe Acrobat and ISToolbox.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and excellent attention to detail, organizational, interpersonal, presentation, and project management skills.
- Excellent grammatical and communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with AMA style guide and regulatory requirements (FDA, EU, ICH, ISO) is highly desirable.
Benefits
Syneos Health offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
