Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining our core product, empowering thousands of entrepreneurs to grow their brand with a product they use daily.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement robust APIs in a production environment with multiple users.
  2. Develop and maintain our data stack, including dbt, Airflow, Airbyte & Fivetran, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Docker.
  3. Collaborate with the Product team to gather and translate requirements into technical solutions to achieve maximum impact.
  4. Support the development of a world-class data platform, scalable, performant, and reliable.
  5. Unlock new infrastructure capabilities, including setting up a data lake and scaling computing power to support growth brands/year.
  6. Help scale our multi-tenant architecture, including better isolation of data storage and compute.
  7. Own the data-connectors experience end-to-end.
  8. Build new capabilities to integrate any kind of data into Polar using Airbyte, Singer, or custom scripts.
  9. Provide full observability on the health of the connectors and lifecycle.

Requirements

  1. 5+ years of experience as a hands-on data-engineer/software engineer.
  2. Fluency in Python and good knowledge of SQL.
  3. Passionate about data products, creative and curious when it comes to data, with an active technological watch.
  4. Rigorous and detail-oriented.
  5. Strong ownership, responsibility, and communication skills.
