We are seeking a highly skilled HR Rewards & Payroll Manager - Iberia to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of Financial & HR Controlling activity across Spain & Portugal.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure total rewards strategies are competitive, cost-effective, and aligned with business goals, internal framework, and local legislation.
- Participate in the preparation of the quarterly and annual company and departmental salary budgets for employment costs forecast. P&L deviation analysis and accruals.
- Analyze and develop comprehensive total reward programs, including base pay, incentives, benefits, and recognition programs according to internal policies in collaboration with external providers.
- Run the merit increase process and non-fixed salary calculation: bonus, commissions, long-term incentives ensuring clarity and fairness aligned with company policies.
- Develop guidelines and tools for managers to effectively conduct performance reviews and merit assessments.
- Communicate total rewards programs to employees, ensuring understanding and engagement.
- Stay updated on compensation and benefits trends, laws, and best practices.
- Coordinate executive compensation plans, including short- and long-term incentive plans.
- Collaborating with external service providers to oversee payroll and benefits administration. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, tax compliance, and administration of employee benefits programs.
- Maintain the company's HRIS/HRM system ensuring the accurate and efficient capture, storage, retrieval, and reporting of employee data and information.
- Monitoring, consolidating, and reporting on key HR metrics, such as turnover rates, employee engagement scores, Org charts, and diversity metrics.
- Managing and coordinating labor relations across Iberia with the support of external local law firms. Participate in the development and implementation of labor relations strategies that align with the organization's business goals and objectives. Guaranteeing adherence to labor laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
- Manage the process of expatriate assignments and international transfers, including immigration, work permits, relocation support, and expatriate compensation packages.
- Identify and implement strategies, processes, and initiatives that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization's operations.
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies, procedures, and practices that align with employment laws and regulations. Ensuring consistency and fairness in HR practices and encouraging a positive work culture.
Travel required - 10%.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years of professional experience in the field of the Rewards and Financial Controlling, P&L analysis, and personnel administration, payroll, and social insurance in Spain.
Thorough understanding of Spanish labor legislation and its application to payroll.
Full proficiency in using MS-Excel.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required:
- Ability to interact at all levels of the organization.

- Ability to work to tight deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required:
- University degree and Human Resources postgraduate qualification is an asset.
- Fluency in English.
