Role

As the Design Operations Manager at Ukio, you'll oversee three critical pillars of our department: Onboarding New Ukio Homes, Maintaining Quality Standards, and Offboarding Ukio Homes (as needed). Your primary responsibility will be to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality standards across our apartment portfolio.

You'll manage our Design Operations Team in collaboration with external partners to ensure timely and budget-friendly project completion. This role requires cross-functional collaboration to reduce operational costs, optimize processes, enhance communication, and uphold Ukio's quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor the local Design Operations Team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversight and support Coordinators, Interns, and Project Technicians in their daily tasks, making adjustments according to priorities.
  • Hire, onboard, train, and develop new team members, ensuring they understand Ukio's processes, department goals, and company objectives.
  • Coordinate with other departments to align resources with broader company priorities.
  • Implement SOPs to boost team efficiency, ensuring consistent expense control and processes within your market.
  • Oversee the setup and furnishing of newly acquired apartments in collaboration with the Interior Design Manager and property acquisition team.
  • Achieve strict control and awareness of overall department costs, particularly labor costs (internal and external).
  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve comprehensive quality standards for apartments, including cleanliness, maintenance, and interior design.
  • Conduct regular field inspections and evaluations of apartments to ensure compliance with established quality benchmarks.
About You

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual fluent in English and Spanish. A third language is an asset. You should hold a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Hospitality, Real Estate, Project Management, Construction, Refurbishment) and have knowledge of interior design. Proven experience managing multiple projects simultaneously is essential, along with strong PM skills focused on budgeting, resource allocation, and timeline management.

You'll possess exceptional leadership and communication skills, ability to foster collaboration, drive improvements, and stay organized while following up on processes and delivering fast follow-ups.

Salary & Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is around €60,000 - €80,000, depending on experience. Additionally, Ukio offers:
