Dow Jones is seeking a skilled Financial Content Editor to join our team in Barcelona, Spain.
The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and curating breaking news, features, and analysis from across Dow Jones publications, including the Wall Street Journal, for publication on the NewsPlus platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Exercise exceptional news judgment to identify news of importance to professionals.
- Uphold Dow Jones standards and ethics.
- Recognize and respond to the core audiences for Dow Jones Newswires, and their needs and expectations.
- Help connect the content with the audience.
- Collaborate with reporters and editors from other groups, including Dow Jones Newswires, WSJ, and other colleagues and those in other bureaus and regions.
- Communicate precisely, with compassion.
- Be proactive rather than reactive.
Requirements
- A well-honed sense of urgency along with a capacity to remain calm under pressure.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and time while handling multiple responsibilities.
- Intellectual curiosity and a desire to learn.
- A general awareness of how a newsroom works, including an understanding of workflow.
