Respiratory Care Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Care Assistant to join our team at ProMedica Toledo Hospital. As a Respiratory Care Assistant, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and assisting with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and assistance with therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
- Perform skills and procedures validated by an accredited respiratory care program and approved by the state issuing the limited practice license
- Work under supervision from the Respiratory Care Department leadership team and the Medical Directors of Respiratory Care
- Maintain patient confidentiality and display professionalism at all times
- Participate in creating a plan of care, evaluates the achievement of identified goals, records results, and communicates pertinent information to appropriate members of the health care team
- Must be actively enrolled and in good standing, or a recent graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program
- Must be able to input and retrieve computer information
- Must hold current BLS certification
- Membership in the American Association of Respiratory Care and other professional organizations is desired
The Respiratory Care Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment and be exposed to infectious diseases. The individual must be able to move about the hospital and between workstations, efficiently and effectively. Must be able to occasionally and with assistance move heavy weight materials, equipment, or patients.
