We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Siemens Gamesa. As a key member of our Grid Connection department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing electrical simulation models for wind turbines and wind farms. Your expertise in power system engineering, converter control, and electrical machines will be essential in designing and optimizing our wind energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and integrate electrical simulation models for wind turbines and wind farms
  • Design and implement converter control algorithms for grid features
  • Test and analyze model performance to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide inputs and assess model performance
  • Document design reports, validation reports, and user manuals

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in power system engineering, converter control, and electrical machines
  • Proficiency in PSCAD, Fortran, C, MATLAB, and Simulink
  • Experience with wind turbine and wind farm simulation models
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
